Park Royal 1 is an eight-storey residential condominium located at the base of Buddha Hill Pattaya, approximately 500 metres south of central Pattaya. The building was designed by Mario Kleff and comprises a total of 36 residential units.
Each unit is executed with a restrained material palette, incorporating modern concrete finishes alongside European-standard kitchens and bathroom fittings, reflecting a pragmatic approach to contemporary urban living.
Development and Construction
The project was developed by Heights Holdings and completed in December 2009. The initial architectural concept proposed an exposed concrete structure, aligned with modernist principles emphasizing material honesty and structural expression. During the construction phase, however, the design was partially revised in response to economic conditions and budgetary constraints, resulting in a moderated material articulation.
Architectural Character
Notwithstanding these revisions, the building maintains a clear contemporary identity. Its composition is defined by clean linear geometry, functional spatial planning, and a disciplined façade treatment. The project illustrates a balance between architectural intent and practical execution, contributing to the incremental diversification of Pattaya’s residential built environment.
