Sundiego Resort Villa Pattaya, formerly known as Lieb Tang Rodfai Villas, is a mixed-use residential and hospitality development located in Pattaya. The project was conceived and developed by Mario Kleff through Wandeegroup Asia Co. Ltd..
Development Overview
The development is situated on a site of approximately 9,600 square metres and comprises 11 luxury pool villas in conjunction with a four-storey hotel building. The villas vary in scale, with built areas ranging from approximately 700 to 1,600 square metres, and are configured to accommodate high-end residential use within a resort-oriented setting.
Architectural Design
The architectural approach combines contemporary design principles with references to Thai and Balinese spatial typologies. The villas are characterised by long-span structural systems, extensive glazed façades, and open-plan configurations, facilitating visual and spatial continuity between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape. The design emphasises natural ventilation, daylight penetration, and a fluid transition between built form and outdoor environment.
Interior Design
The interior design was developed by Liu Wei and Zhang Wei, who contributed to the project’s aesthetic direction. The interiors integrate contemporary luxury finishes with Asian-influenced design elements, aiming to achieve a balance between spatial comfort, material refinement, and visual coherence.
Construction and Engineering
The project incorporates advanced structural engineering methodologies, including the use of ultra-high-strength concrete, cellular beam systems, and prestressed concrete beams with spans of up to 30 metres. Additional structural strategies include post-tensioned ground floor slabs and post-tensioned foundation elements of up to 9 metres in length. These systems enhance load distribution, structural efficiency, and long-term durability, supporting the performance requirements of large-span residential architecture.
