On The Hill is a proposed condominium development located on Pratumnak Hill in Pattaya, Thailand. Designed by architect Mario Kleff, the project aimed to prioritize spacious living areas and high-quality construction over maximizing the number of units. The development was planned to feature a blend of Bauhaus and Funkis architectural styles, focusing on functionality and aesthetic appeal. Key design elements included expansive glass windows to maximize natural light, triple balconies for each apartment, and an infinity-edge rooftop pool.
The proposed interiors were designed with natural materials such as tropical wood, leather, granite, and glass to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The incorporation of concrete, aluminum, and steel was intended to add to the industrial aesthetic, aligning with the Bauhaus principle of unifying art, craft, and technology. The open-plan layout of the 31 apartments featured elements such as spiral staircases, stainless-steel lampstands, and glass-topped tables, with influences from Zen design contributing to the tranquility of the space.
Despite receiving official building permits, the project was never completed, and the development was not realized.
