Waterside is a 63-acre mixed-use development that serves as Fort Worth’s “second living room,” offering grassy areas, covered pavilions, and outdoor lounge seating where friends and families can come to connect. Field Paoli was responsible for Masterplanning and for the design of the retail and restaurant buildings, including Fort Worth’s first Whole Foods. The site’s location along Trinity River
featured many majestic oak trees that the plan sought to preserve, including one that became the centerpiece of a new public space called “The Grove”, where Bocce and corn hole courts, whimsical artwork and grassy areas for yoga classes encourage generations to come together. The result is a park-like atmosphere that turns a trip to the grocery store into a relaxing evening enjoying live music or playing games along the river.
