As project architect and prime consultant for San José State University’s 20-Year Campus Master Plan, Field Paoli led a team to reimagine the campus for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Adopted in 2025, the plan provides a roadmap for the strategic expansion of over 2.5 million square feet over the next two decades, guided by the university’s values, extensive community input, and the city’s urban planning goals. Developed with Urban Field Studio, Dalton Educational Associates, SWA Landscape Architects, Arup, and others, the plan addresses deferred maintenance, enhances academic spaces, expands housing, and improves transportation with better pedestrian and micro-mobility connections across the main and south campuses.
