A forward-looking Silicon Valley office park that redefines flexibility, wellness, and sustainability in the workplace.
The Porter Drive Office Building, developed for Stanford University’s Land, Buildings, and Real Estate group, is a 100,000-square-foot speculative office building located in Stanford Research Park in Palo Alto, CA. Designed to support a range of future tenants, the project combines flexible planning, environmental responsibility, and thoughtful outdoor spaces to meet evolving expectations for workplace design.
Situated in Silicon Valley, the building provides easy access to Stanford’s academic resources and the broader regional business and cultural opportunities. The building includes open-plan office space, shared amenities, and an underground parking garage for 230 vehicles. Secure bicycle storage with shower and locker facilities supports alternative commuting.
EHDD’s design reflects a new paradigm for office development—one that prioritizes daylight and human connection. Narrow floor plates allow for abundant natural light, while outdoor areas are incorporated as informal social spaces. These design strategies support employees’ well-being, productivity, and health. Designed with long-term leasing flexibility in mind, the Porter Drive Office building offers a scalable solution to the shifting needs of modern tenants while reinforcing Stanford’s broader environmental and development goals.
