A refreshed workspace designed for flexibility, focus, and effortless collaboration.
This interior refresh renovated Google’s Building 41, a 97,000-square-foot building with three floors of office space in Mountain View, CA. EHDD redesigned the workplace to support hybrid and team-based work with an open plan that features varied pod layouts, touchdown spaces, and soft seating throughout.
The scope included informal lounges, a coffee bar, library, phone rooms, huddle rooms, meeting rooms, and a game room, all designed to encourage casual interaction and collaboration. Circulation paths are clear and intuitive, promoting movement and access between zones.
A key client priority was comfort. Acoustic strategies were carefully integrated to support focused work, while daylighting upgrades addressed glare without sacrificing natural light. EHDD replaced outdated dark film with high-performance glazing film and added mechanized daylight-responsive shades with manual override controls.
