Design competition. Candidate project
Since the second half of the twentieth century, the urban subdivision in which the competition master plan is inserted has undergone various developments. The Rome of the immediate post-World War II period replaced the overall planning with small parcels of predominantly private initiative and with public interventions that had a development unrelated to a unified vision. This is the context for the master plan project for the former Fiera di Roma, which aims to trace the new design in the founding acts of the street and existing architecture. The proposal includes:
1. Two distinct cruciform blocks of housing and services with flush garages intended for external users and underground for residents 2. Two-level basements with special dwellings, stores and offices and inhabited terrace corresponding to the crowning of the building.
2. A service center and kindergarten school attested on Tor Marancia Avenue with garages ancillary environments to play activities, reception, with offices, laboratories and inhabited terrace.
3. The street/park, a wide diagonal path that takes its start from Tor Marancia Avenue. In the center the artificial cave for the expression of youth creativity and sports fields.
