The Quartier Oakville transforms the sites of the former Coupal and Dare factories, in the heart of the Saint-Charles sector in Saint-Lambert, into an inspiring living environment rooted in the architectural identity of the city. Located within walking distance of Victoria Street and the commuter train station, the project follows a transit-oriented development vision, with an investment of over 120 million dollars for the construction of 286 units across two sectors. The project was recognized at the 18th edition of the Grands Prix du Design with 2 Gold certifications.
Inspired by 19th century British architectural heritage, the project draws from Saint-Lambert's built vocabulary while balancing community, quality of life, and sustainable development. Unit typologies are intentionally varied, from stacked townhouses to multiplexes, addressing the full residential spectrum while maintaining a balanced density and a verdant character. Multimodal pathways, shared green spaces, and a continuous tree canopy reinforce the welcoming nature of the neighbourhood.
Our goal was to make Oakville a catalyst for revitalization in this evolving sector, where industrial heritage gives way to a harmonious residential environment that respects Saint-Lambert's historical identity and is designed for the current and future needs of its residents.
