Clinique O is a leading oculoplastics reference in Quebec. When opening their second location on Île-des-Sœurs, the ambition was to integrate a wellness space alongside the medical clinic, two worlds with seemingly opposing demands.
Our challenge was to merge these two universes within a generic open floor plan while maintaining a strong aesthetic coherence. The guiding idea came naturally: to break away from the traditional clinical aesthetic, often cold and anxiety-inducing, and create a timeless retreat.
Solid wood panels run through the entire space as a unifying thread, ensuring visual and sensory continuity between the clinic and the wellness area. Curved lines, enveloping volumes, and soft materials guide the eye effortlessly from the moment of arrival.
Each space carries a precise intention. The amber-tinted glass volume of the PER room acts as a bold chromatic landmark. The recovery room, designed like a business class cabin, invites rest with quiet care. In the wellness wing, the wood-lined corridor and hushed treatment rooms offer an introspective experience that transcends the functional purpose of the space.
Our goal was to make the care environment an integral part of the therapeutic journey, a place where medical expertise and well-being meet with elegance.
