Haraya Residences: Pebbles in the Stream
Haraya Residences is a riverfront residential development in Bridgetowne Estate, Pasig, conceived as a new gateway to the neighbourhood along the revitalised Marikina River in Manila, Philippines.
The design takes its starting point from pebbles in a stream. The two towers use smooth, rounded profiles that suggest forms shaped by water and movement, while giving the development a softer presence within the surrounding city. Their fluid geometry continues through the façade, podium and landscape, connecting the architecture to its riverside setting.
Set on an 8,440 sqm site, the project accommodates 939 residences in two towers, rising to a maximum height of 225 metres. A key planning decision was to keep the towers’ footprint compact, allowing the centre of the site to become the shared heart of the development rather than being occupied by building mass.
More than 2,500 sqm of landscaped outdoor space brings together tropical planting, private alcoves, a large swimming pool and family areas beneath the trees. This central landscape creates a sequence of places for residents to meet, rest and spend time outdoors, while the towers rise above with views across the river and city.
At the lower levels, the podium brings dining and activity towards the riverfront, strengthening the project’s role as an entrance to Bridgetowne. Duplex Garden Units offer a more immediate connection to the landscape, while the one-, two- and three-bedroom homes use Italian-inspired loggias and flexible living spaces to extend daily life towards light, air and views.
Haraya Residences brings together high-rise density, landscape and a strong sense of place. By concentrating the built form and giving the shared ground plane greater space and presence, the project creates a residential community shaped by both privacy and connection.
