Set within the verdant landscape of Greenleaf Lane, Infinity is conceived as a contemporary residence shaped by the natural contours of its site. Rather than imposing upon the sloping terrain, the architecture unfolds through a considered sequence of levels, allowing the landscape to become an integral part of the home. Across the basement, first storey, mezzanines, second storey and attic, each volume is carefully positioned to create a continuous dialogue between architecture, garden and sky.
At the heart of the design is a journey through landscape. Cascading gardens form a gentle transition from the car porch towards the pool deck and rear patio, transforming changes in elevation into moments of discovery. The building envelope is composed to frame these garden vistas and the pool beyond, creating a sense of depth and continuity as greenery flows around and through the residence.
The architecture is further defined by an interplay of solid form, openness and light. Carefully framed openings bring the surrounding landscape into the interiors, while layered spaces reveal different perspectives as one moves through the home. By day, natural light animates the textures and surfaces; by night, the residence takes on a quieter character through a carefully considered lighting strategy.
Warm internal illumination is complemented by subtle façade uplighting at 2400K, while landscape lighting at 3000K brings out the richness of the surrounding greenery. The result is an atmosphere that shifts naturally with the hours—from an open, light-filled residence by day to a softly illuminated sanctuary after dusk.
Infinity is ultimately an exploration of continuity: between levels, between architecture and landscape, and between the changing qualities of light. A residence conceived not as a singular object, but as an evolving experience where nature and architecture extend seamlessly into one another.
