Tilt House rethinks the conventional corner-lot residence by allowing the site itself to shape the architecture. Angled in response to orientation, the form is carefully composed to maximize natural light, frame outward views, and establish a distinct architectural identity.
The project challenges the prevailing residential language of its neighborhood, introducing a contemporary design character that departs from the familiar while remaining sensitive to its context. Rather than blending into the streetscape, Tilt House demonstrates how thoughtful architecture can elevate the everyday house into a recognizable landmark and contribute a new design language to the surrounding community.
Although designed as three independent dwelling units, the architecture is unified through a continuous form, allowing the development to read as a single cohesive residence. Shared amenities, including a common roof deck designed for gathering, reinforce the balance between privacy and community, while the composition proves that density can be achieved without compromising architectural clarity or identity.
