On Saint-Honoré square, a 1000 m2 space spread over three levels was renovated by Franklin Azzi Architecture to become the second Maison Plisson.
Inspired by the approach of its founder, Delphine Plisson, who traveled across France to find the best craftsmen and offer quality products, the project refers to the world of restoration : the old breweries and emblematic establishments ... anchored in the Saint Honoré district, the codes of interior design reinterpret those of Parisian brasseries, creating a functional and warm space, as it existed at Lipp or Au Pied de cochon. This is how the two restaurants of Maison Plisson are created, like a family meal, reflecting a friendly atmosphere, also inspired by the film "Vincent, François, Paul and the Others" by Claude Sautet.
In order to respect the image of the Maison Plisson - highlighting craftsmanship - the agency has designed each piece of furniture, tailor-made, searching through the typical materials of the food shops, the durability and the authenticity. The project presents the symbiosis of traditional codes with contemporary implementation such as the linoleum lining of table tops combined with Thonet wooden chairs, the presence of large mirrors, the large leather banquettes and the brass profile details inserted between the slabs ground, in terracotta.
The meeting of several programs with various specificities and technical standards, required a complex synthesis to meet all the specifications. Although being gathered in one place, the 10 food trades cohabit (cheese, dairy, early, wine cellar, grocery store, butcher, delicatessen, bakery, pastry, caterer), the shop and the two restaurants, are treated specifically. To meet this programmatic diversity and the need for space, the project had to include the major restructuring of the premises to bring together in a fluid space, two buildings built at two different periods of construction and not having the same reference levels, including altimetry floors.
Thus, the Maison Plisson 2 invites the user to discover a space with resonance of the old breweries and traditional institutions, to discover the products of the best French craftsmen. A space where you can enjoy convivial moments of tasting, in the café or restaurant, take the time to choose products in the grocery store or the market, with a homogeneous and minimal interior architecture, which underlines the diversity of products of Maison Plisson and highlight the know-how of producers.
