M-House is a contemporary retreat in Hưng Yên, Vietnam, inspired by the spatial structure and communal spirit of the traditional Northern Vietnamese home.
The project unfolds through a sequence of layered spaces—from the entrance garden to a central courtyard that connects the main house, guest pavilions, ancestral house and outdoor living areas. Rather than forming a single enclosed volume, the architecture is divided into smaller structures woven together by verandas, gardens and water.
Handmade terracotta bricks, natural stone, timber and traditional tiled roofs create a warm, tactile character, allowing contemporary living to remain deeply connected to local memory, nature and the unhurried rhythm of rural life.
