Project Description
MONOLITH U | MARBLE is a conceptual sculpture that explores the relationship between reductive geometry and the expressive force of natural stone. Conceived as the most distilled work in the U series, it transforms an archetypal structural form into a monolithic spatial object.
Carved from a single high-contrast block of natural marble, the work foregrounds the material itself as the central subject. Dark veining runs through the stone like an internal drawing shaped by geological time, introducing an organic complexity into an otherwise strict and minimal form.
The U geometry creates a clear architectural silhouette while emphasizing mass, balance, and visual continuity. Rather than functioning as an object of use, the sculpture operates as a spatial presence—an exploration of permanence, stillness, and the physical intensity of material.
MONOLITH U | MARBLE proposes a reduced language of form in which stone, weight, and proportion define the atmosphere of the space.
