The Simpson Group is an international engineering company with offices around the world. Its headquarters in Aurora, Illinois were originally completed in 1990. This past year, Holabird & Root was selected to complete a two-phase remodel of the interior office environment with the goal of creating a space that will help attract and retain young engineering talent and appeal to an audience of international clientele and business partners.
The first phase of the remodel comprises common spaces within the office including the employee lounge and the boardroom. The design gives the remodeled spaces a clean and contemporary feel while seamlessly integrating sophisticated audio and video technology, including videoconferencing capabilities in the boardroom.
