Comfort combined with elegance sets the tone for this apartment in Jardins, which references its surroundings through the use of natural light and planters.
Located in the Jardins neighborhood of São Paulo, the interior design of this apartment was inspired by its setting. The concept of “gardens” extends from the outside in, translating into an elegant design atmosphere, enriched in every room by the natural light streaming through the windows. While the terrace’s planters and the views of the Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano neighborhoods stand out on the exterior, inside, the cumaru wood carpentry enhances the sense of retreat and serves as a tribute to Brazil’s flora.
The apartment seamlessly integrates social, private, and service areas in a flexible and contemporary manner. A spacious terrace and a generous living room provide a sense of openness and brightness to the social area. Designed by Matheus Farah Manoel Maia Arquitetura, the project aims to convey the tranquility of Brazilian nature through a decor that is both understated and comfortable, characterized by the contrast of textures, fabrics, and tones.
The guiding principle behind each design choice was comfort combined with elegance. For moments of relaxation, large sofas with cushions in a light, desaturated color palette take center stage in the living room. The dynamic layout, which fluidly connects the different spaces, fosters both relaxation and productivity. The suites are designed as functional and cozy retreats, achieved through a carefully curated combination of materials, textures, and colors such as caramel, beige, and brown. In the bathrooms, darker shades of brown take prominence, creating minimalist spaces.
To enhance the naturalistic design, the project prioritized indirect lighting, along with chandeliers and irregularly shaped vases in warm yellow tones, incorporated into the living room and suites. For the walls, the chosen finish was fine lamato, a texture commonly used in high-end developments.
Light-colored rugs in both the private and social areas complement the decor, ensuring, along with the rich textures of the chairs and armchairs, a cohesive and inviting atmosphere throughout the apartment.
