Signed by Two Arquitetura, the Urban Loft is the embodiment of an active and sophisticated lifestyle. Located in the heart of Itaim, São Paulo, the project begins with the uniqueness of its resident — a young athlete living alone — to design a highly personalized space. Spanning 80 m² and featuring an interior language that directly dialogues with the urban landscape, the project unfolds as a high-standard retreat, with a modern aesthetic and a warm, sophisticated atmosphere.
The open and integrated floor plan was essential to reflect the client's sense of freedom and dynamism. The loft, with its industrial structure, features an open mezzanine where the suite is located, complete with a walk-in closet and a shower fully exposed to the bedroom. In this upper-level bathroom, the use of limestone — on the ceiling, walls, and toilet area — stands out, lending a natural texture and sophistication to the intimate space.
The social area flows naturally between the kitchen and the living room, defined by a palette of charcoal and black tones balanced by the warmth of wooden flooring. The kitchen island, crafted from Grigio Paraná quartzite by Montblanc, combines the material’s durability with the elegance of its natural veining. The darker tones lend a masculine character to the loft while harmonizing with the metal staircase that connects the living room to the mezzanine.
The furniture is carefully selected to reflect a modern aesthetic with Italian influences, favoring low-profile volumes. The Ornare kitchen, with its grey cabinetry, creates visual continuity with the other elements in the space. The grey-blue linen sofa, designed by Two and handcrafted by an upholsterer, is a central piece: voluminous and comfortable, filled with down feathers. In front of it, a coffee table with integrated poufs — also an original design by Two — optimizes the space with elegant personality.
Furniture curation is a key phase of the project. The Poliform armchair, By Kamy rug, and strategically distributed lighting all ensure visual comfort while respecting the intimate scale of the loft. The controlled use of color and raw materials creates a balance between the urban and the sophisticated — a contrast that defines the essence of the loft.
This project not only meets the resident’s practical needs but also translates his identity into every detail: a space where concrete meets delicate finishes, and the city, though ever-present, becomes a backdrop for private life.
