Set in an upscale district of São Paulo, this 315 m² penthouse has been entirely reimagined to address a fundamental brief: restoring a sense of well-being within the home. A previous renovation had left the apartment with a heavy, uninviting atmosphere, misaligned with the couple’s daily life.
The project is grounded in a sensitive reading of the client’s narrative and informed by a Feng Shui study developed in collaboration with a specialist. Its principles guided key decisions, particularly in the calibration of color and the reconfiguration of spatial flows, fostering balance, clarity, and improved quality of life.
A restrained, light-driven palette defines the intervention. White surfaces amplify spatial perception and enhance natural light, establishing a calm and cohesive backdrop.
Existing structural elements, including columns, are reframed through bespoke millwork across ceilings and vertical planes, turning constraints into defining architectural features.
The original flooring is retained, while color is introduced with precision, in alignment with Feng Shui guidelines. Social areas are reorganized to encourage fluidity and interaction. The previously inefficient gourmet area is redesigned as a central hosting space, improving proximity, functionality, and circulation.
The terrace, once underused, is reconceived as an extension of the living environment, incorporating a lounge setting, a more generous dining area, and a spa. This new configuration reinforces the apartment’s social vocation while expanding its spatial and experiential range.
The result is a calm, luminous, and highly functional interior that marks a new chapter for its residents, where architecture operates as a mediator between space, perception, and well-being.
