Set within the Gibbston Valley Reserve development, the Clubhouse forms the social heart of this boutique nine-hole golf destination near Queenstown. Framed by tussock-covered hillsides and rugged rocky outcrops, the building is positioned to engage with the Central Otago landscape, while maintaining a strong connection to the wider resort.
The architecture is composed of a series of open-plan gable forms, creating a welcoming, communal country club where residents and visitors can relax and gather. A natural material palette balances rustic warmth with a contemporary aesthetic, grounding the building comfortably within its setting.
Designed as a shared amenity for both residents of The Reserve and the wider public, the Clubhouse accommodates a bar, restaurant, retail store, gym and outdoor pool. The interiors have been carefully curated to reflect the architecture, featuring timber beams, high raking ceilings and slate tile flooring – a modern, alpine feel.
Balancing hospitality and recreation, the Clubhouse offers a relaxed space to leisure, enhancing the experience of Queenstown’s emerging alpine golf destination.
