Set overlooking the Macaymas mountains and local vineyards, the Chimney Rock Estate is a modern luxury farmhouse designed to embrace the beauty of the surrounding landscape. This home was constructed using a hybrid build approach, blending six modular units with a site-built living and dining area. The modular units were constructed concurrently with the on-site elements. Once the modules were set on-site, the timber and metal cladding was added and gable roofs were completed. The project was completed in just one year.
The home was designed by Nick Noyes Architecture as a communal space for several generations of family. It includes many different areas for entertaining, from the streamlined kitchen, to the adjacent separate guesthouse, to the outdoor pool area and patio wrapping around the entire house. With high ceilings, generous glazing, and spacious bedrooms, the home maintains a feeling of openness. The Chimney Rock Estate stands as a testament that high quality and efficient construction methods can go beautifully hand-in-hand.
