The Karl Marx district shows the revival of Bobigny carried by ten years of work and investment as part of the national program of urban renewal. it is located a few meters from the house of culture of Seine Saint Denis, symbol at the height of the stakes that have led to the renovation of the neighborhood.
This 46-unit social housing project, which is the subject of this consultation, occupies a strategic position in the Karl Marx district. It is involved in the relocation of residents after the demolition of the 36/38 towers in 2016.
Beyond the question of housing, the change is urban with the diversification of typologies and the creation of new roads that innervent the neighborhood and promote the junction between parties where a more dense housing, mainly made of collective housing.
In addition, the new face of the neighborhood is emerging as the emergence of small and medium-sized operations, where the collective is no longer the simple result of the addition or superimposition of individual housing. In accordance with the visions of the main social landlords and developers of the district, the operations play the plurality in terms of typology, materiality, volumetry so as to break with a monumentality or homogeneity today discredited. This project is also part of a new conception of collective housing established in favor of observations: the small size of operations encourages the consolidation of a collective feeling, favored by domestic scales, the appearance of new collective spaces such as playgrounds , gardens, but also clear residence limits. All of them contribute globally to promoting a common sense of belonging to a neighborhood that has been renewed.
