The project is a belvedere / restaurant aligned with the existing bridge which connects the cities of Piacenza and Lodi crossing the Po river. It serves both panoramic point of the historic center of Piacenza, the nature reserve and surrounding countryside.
His semi-arch form marks a symbolic threshold of entry into the city, and overcomes the visual and noise pollution of the bridge.
The project is a museum path where the ratio between opacity and transparency gradually enhances the landscape. The casing perforations vary and filter natural light and views of the landscape.
The course ends with a completely transparent panoramic terrace, in safety glass, walls and floor for a feeling of being suspended in space.
The day daylight is filtered as a pergola to reduce the greenhouse effect, the night the indoor artificial lighting is diffused outwards and transforms the object in town entrance beacon.
The outer surface is made of stainless steel to allow the object to blend into the background: by hours, the colors of the sky, the object absorbs the nuances of light, in continuity with the landscape.
