What if buying food could become an experience ?
That is the starting point for The Taste Factory, a 280 m² concept store in Paris. I wanted to create a place that people would genuinely want to walk into, even without knowing exactly what they are going to find.
Here, visitors discover products, recipes, textures and techniques that are rarely encountered in a traditional food store. They can taste, shop, watch a preparation, talk with the people working on site, or simply sit down and eat.
The kitchen is at the heart of the project. It is open, visible and constantly in motion. Nothing is completely fixed : products change, experiences evolve, and the space can host new collaborations with chefs, producers and creators.
I wanted the architecture to carry the same energy. A raw, almost industrial space built around black concrete, steel, glass and wood. A large staircase crosses the volume and becomes the visual anchor of the concept store. It allows visitors to see what is happening, move through different levels and experience the kitchen from new perspectives.
The taste factory is therefore neither simply a restaurant nor a conventional food store.
It is a place where people come to discover something they did not know they were looking for.
A Parisian destination dedicated to curiosity, taste and experimentation.
