Set along the northern coastline of Mauritius, the St Antoine development extends across 17 acres of coastal landscape, conceived as a low-density residential enclave that prioritises space, privacy, and a direct relationship with its natural surroundings. The masterplan brings together a collection of villas, apartments, and penthouses, each oriented to capture uninterrupted views of the lagoon and surrounding islets.
The architectural language is deliberately restrained, allowing the landscape to define the character of the place. Clean volumes, balanced proportions, and a neutral material palette create a calm and cohesive identity, while the integration of locally inspired materials — including timber and Mauritian stone — anchors the project within its context.
The design places strong emphasis on indoor-outdoor continuity. Living spaces extend onto generous terraces, with deep overhangs providing shade and reducing solar gain. Large openings maximise natural light and cross-ventilation, supporting a comfortable living environment aligned with the island’s climate while maintaining privacy and spatial clarity.
At the centre of the development, a clubhouse and pool form a shared focal point, reinforcing a sense of community within the overall layout. Designed in continuity with the residential architecture, these amenities provide spaces for leisure and interaction without disrupting the project’s overall sense of calm and openness.
St Antoine reflects a considered approach to coastal living — where architecture, landscape, and climate are carefully balanced to create an environment that is both refined and inherently connected to its setting.
