Pulp Studio, the leading fabricator of technically advanced architectural decorative glass, continues to push the boundaries of structural glass design through a series of recently completed projects featuring custom glass railing systems. From hospitality destinations and office spaces to cultural institutions, each installation showcases Pulp Studio's expertise in engineering glass that seamlessly blends safety, performance and sophisticated design.

Gravitas Private Club

Pulp Studio partnered with Gravitas to fabricate custom architectural glass handrails that complement the private club’s sophisticated design while enhancing the member experience. Located in Beverly Hills, California, Gravitas is an exclusive headquarters that serves as a hub for culinary excellence, curated amenities and networking opportunities. Its bespoke interiors span the dining area, private conference rooms, recording studio, game lounges and more.

Throughout the club, Pulp Studio supplied architectural glass for the entryway, dining area and meeting areas, with the stair handrails serving as a standout feature. Overlooking the restaurant, the handrails were fabricated using 150 pieces of two-layer laminated ¼” bronze glass, providing durability while maintaining a refined aesthetic. The transparent railings provide a largely unobstructed view from the second story to the open-air dining space below, contributing to the venue's open, luxurious atmosphere and demonstrating the thoughtful craftsmanship that defined the collaboration between Pulp Studio and Gravitas.

Freshfields Law Offices

Pulp Studio collaborated with Freshfields, an elite global law firm, to fabricate the custom glass railings for its new office at Port Authority’s 3 World Trade Center in New York, New York. As part of a vibrant workplace designed by architecture leader Gensler and built by national contractor JT Magen for employees relocating to Lower Manhattan, glass served as a defining design element throughout the space. Pulp Studio was enlisted to bring the vision to life through its expertly fabricated architectural glass.

For the project, Pulp Studio supplied glass for both the office’s railings and smoke baffles, with the prominent glass staircase serving as the focal point of the design. The staircase railings were fabricated using thicker, high-performance laminated glass to achieve a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Incorporating both flat and curved glass, the installation highlights Pulp Studio’s renowned bending capabilities while demonstrating the precision required for complex architectural applications.

This project features the following glass types: GL-07 13/16” Low Iron, Tempered Laminated with Sentry Glass Plus interlayer, GL-08 13/16” Low Iron, Chemically Strengthened Laminated with Sentry Glass Plus interlayer, GL-09 9/16” Low Iron, Tempered with Sentry Glass Plus interlayer, GL-10 9/16” Low Iron, Chemically Strengthened Laminated with Sentry Glass Plus.

David Geffen Hall

The David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, designed by Diamond Schmitt and Tod Williams/Billie Tsien Architects, displays Pulp Studio’s advanced glass-bending capabilities through the fabrication of more than 8,700 square feet of flat and bent laminated glass railings and guardrails. Engineered to achieve the project's exceptionally tight 8” radii, the glass was chemically strengthened to meet both the demanding structural requirements and the design vision, demonstrating Pulp Studio's expertise in producing complex curved architectural glass.

To further elevate the installation, Pulp Studio applied its proprietary Precision Edge® technology to post-polish the glass edgework and deliver a refined finish. The guardrail glass also incorporates specially etched Low Iron Laminated Glass finished with a digital design, enhancing privacy and intimacy while maintaining the project's elegant aesthetic.

Clifford Chance Workplace

At Clifford Chance’s four-story, 144,000-square-foot office in the premier Two Manhattan West building, Pulp Studio’s glass fabrication plays a defining role in bringing the contemporary workplace to life. Designed to integrate innovative technology while emphasizing safety, brightness and a welcoming atmosphere, the office features custom curved glass that highlights Pulp Studio’s expertise in complex bending processes.

Pulp Studio supplied glass throughout the office, including the railings, smoke baffles and the striking four-story spiral staircase that serves as the centerpiece of the space. The staircase and railing system showcase the company's ability to fabricate precision-bent glass for demanding architectural applications, incorporating both true-radius and non-conforming curved glass alongside flat laminated glass. For the project, Pulp Studio utilized 9/16” Low Iron Laminated Glass (PVB), Flat Glass, Bent Glass True Radius – Tempered Laminated and Bent Glass non-conforming – Chemically Strengthened Laminated.

Each of these projects demonstrates Pulp Studio's ability to transform ambitious architectural concepts into high-performance glass installations.
