Bespoke Office Environment For A Boutique Financial Services Client
Project Brief
This commission provided an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate design excellence within a framework of creative freedom and collaborative partnership. The client's openness to innovative approaches, combined with a flexible project scope, enabled the development of a truly bespoke workplace environment that prioritises both intimacy and functionality.
The brief established clear requirements: a private office environment for a small team incorporating dedicated wellness facilities, formal meeting capabilities, and hospitality provisions. Beyond these core functions, the project embraced creative exploration to deliver distinctive design solutions that balance operational efficiency with exceptional user experience.
Design Response
Material Strategy & Spatial Character - The architectural approach centres on a carefully curated palette of premium materials that establish a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. This material strategy directly supports the client's collaborative working culture whilst minimising environmental distractions through thoughtful acoustic and visual planning.
The design narrative unfolds through a series of interconnected spaces, each contributing to an overarching sense of natural elegance. Curved glass partitions framed in sustainable bamboo create visual connections whilst maintaining acoustic separation throughout the circulation spine. The warm timber materiality, complemented by a refined sage green colour palette, establishes a calming yet energising environment that supports focused work and creative collaboration.
Signature Design Elements - The breakout area exemplifies the project's commitment to material sophistication, featuring a striking deep green marble benchtop with brass fixtures, dramatically illuminated by a bespoke Christopher Boots pendant installation. This space demonstrates how carefully selected statement pieces can elevate the everyday workplace experience.
Unified Design Language - Curved geometries form a consistent design motif throughout the environment, manifesting in furniture selection, bespoke joinery details, and most prominently in the sculptural curved glass entrance feature. This geometric consistency creates spatial flow and visual cohesion, enhancing the overall user journey through the workplace.

Boardroom Integration - The boardroom represents a pinnacle of integrated design and technology solutions. A carefully positioned skylight with curved edges introduces controlled natural illumination that highlights the textural qualities of the terrazzo meeting table.
