Advisory firm and long-standing client SHK partnered with Amicus to deliver a new fit-out for their Collins Street, Melbourne tenancy. The brief called for a space that reflected SHK’s expertise and prestige, while offering a uniquely warm and welcoming experience for both guests and staff.
Working in collaboration with design firm Made For, our goal was to translate SHK’s vision into a functional, business lounge–style environment — a workplace that not only supports productivity but also nurtures authentic connections and a sense of comfort. A seamless delivery process was essential, ensuring minimal disruption to SHK’s operations and maintaining the trust built through our long-term partnership.
The resulting design evokes a refined, homely atmosphere that balances professionalism with warmth. Soft beige and taupe tones set the stage for an elegant selection of feature furniture, curated by Wildflower, that contrasts and complements in perfect harmony. Large, angled ceiling cornices frame sweeping city views, adding a sense of drama and sophistication while maintaining a calm, grounded aesthetic.
Technology is seamlessly integrated throughout, allowing the space to flex effortlessly between formal client meetings, workshops, and casual team interactions. Every element — from layout to lighting — has been crafted to support focus, collaboration, and connection.
Our delivery team executed the project with precision, meeting tight programme requirements and navigating complex building management, security, and mechanical constraints. Through careful planning, logistics, and quality control, the result was a flawless handover that met SHK’s expectations in every detail.
The finished suite reflects SHK’s professionalism and prestige while creating an atmosphere of comfort and belonging. The design blurs the line between a traditional workplace and a hospitality-style lounge, fostering genuine connection and wellbeing among staff and visitors alike.
