Commercial property and real estate firm Knight Frank's Melbourne workplace needed a workplace fit out that matched the standard of the brand. Working with interior designers KT Designs, the brief covered the full workplace experience, from arrival through to the collaboration spaces beyond. Timber finishes, considered detailing and integrated technology combine to create a space that reads as professional, welcoming and distinctly Knight Frank.
The arrival sequence anchors the fit out. Natural light, timber finishes and integrated planting shape the first impression. Through the rest of the space, feature timber ceilings, herringbone flooring and a layered material palette add texture, with client-facing areas balanced against calmer settings for day-to-day work.
The project was delivered within a complex CBD building, with access restrictions, delivery logistics and neighbouring tenants factored into the construction sequence. Coordination between project stakeholders kept the design intent intact through to completion.
Technology is integrated rather than added on. A consistent platform across all meeting spaces lets staff move between rooms without reconfiguration, with presentation capability that covers daily meetings, client events and larger gatherings.
The workplace now supports the client experience directly, from first meetings through to boardroom presentations, rather than sitting in the background.
The layout adapts through the day, from focused individual work to team collaboration, presentations and client events. With technology working in the background, the office fit out removes friction from everyday use, keeping the focus on the relationships the business is built on.
