In the heart of downtown Brooklyn, Sherman Architects built the borough’s largest wellness center. Previously, Physio Logic had to send patrons from one address to another to use all the services they offered. Now, patrons can get Pilates, massage, physical therapy, and chiropractic work–all on one floor. Moreover, we completed the project despite a tight deadline, a tighter budget, and clashing stakeholders.
Floor-to-ceiling windows sweep from Borough Hall to the park, filling the vast space with sunlight. Movable panels divide the spaces for private care or group classes. The open loft enjoys broad views of Cadman Plaza, while offices and treatment rooms are cozy and private. We exposed ducts and heavy timber beams–a look the owner jazzed up with vivid wallpaper.
