This new four-span 120m long bridge crosses over the north end of Oxtongue Lake close to the entry point of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario. The bridge design attempts to achieve a simple, understated and elegant effect within the spectacular natural setting.
Design features include open metal railings to maximize driver views to the water, board-formed concrete approach walls with cast-in identification text, and distinctively shaped bridge piers that echo the lines and curves of the canoes that regularly pass under it.
