East Hamilton Waterfront Link Pedestrian Bridge

This pedestrian/cycle bridge provides a new landmark for the City of Hamilton in a prominent location at the foot of the Red Hill Creek valley.
The bridge, about 220m in overall length, passes over an ecologically sensitive wetland area and the QEW highway, connecting the valley trail system to the Lake Ontario waterfront.
The bridge deck features a tilted arch as the focus of its longest span across the creek. Railings have a random picket pattern that evokes the visual character of the wetland below.
