The novobanco Campus fit-out project reimagines the workplace as a dynamic and human-centered environment. Designed by Openbook Architecture, the project transforms a rigid pre-existing geometry into a fluid and organic spatial experience, revealing unique topographies and fostering a sense of movement throughout the campus.
At the heart of the design is a commitment to employee well-being. Energy-efficient solutions enhance thermal and acoustic comfort, while biophilic elements punctuate the interiors, promoting mental and physical health. The reception area sets the tone with two contrasting geometries: a cubic volume that conveys stability and formality, and a sculptural cylindrical staircase that introduces fluidity and contemporary openness.
The campus offers a diverse range of spaces tailored to different work styles—from welcoming arrival zones to informal breakout areas and dedicated leisure spaces. These environments encourage collaboration, short breaks, and spontaneous team interactions, reinforcing company culture and connectivity.
A standout feature is the food hall, envisioned as a vibrant social and professional hub. Bathed in natural light, it anchors the campus experience and supports daily rituals of gathering and exchange.
This project exemplifies Openbook’s belief in the transformative power of design to elevate the workplace, foster community, and support the evolving needs of modern organizations.
