Located in Porto’s Campo Alegre district, the Mutual Building redefines an emblematic office landmark through a sustainable and forward-thinking approach. Designed by Openbook Architecture for Osborne + Co and Adriparte, this 10,000 sqm intervention preserves the building’s historical identity while introducing cutting-edge solutions for the future of work.
The project features a dynamic façade with vertical and horizontal fins calibrated to solar exposure, a double-height lobby that balances scale and human comfort, and a sequence of outdoor terraces culminating in a rooftop with panoramic views over Porto and the Douro River. Inside, natural light, curated materials, and existing artistic elements create a refined and contemporary atmosphere.
Sustainability drives every decision—from material selection to energy-efficient technologies—ensuring minimal environmental impact.
