Located in rural Oyubia Town, Oron, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, the Christian Secondary Technical College (CSTC) is a private school funded entirely by donors for children ages 12 to 18 years old in the country. The school provides a boarding facility in a coeducational system that teaches a comprehensive curriculum with an emphasis on technical and vocational skills. There are currently over 200 students with a need to accommodate more in the future. Some alumni have returned as teachers for the next generation. The campus features several classroom buildings built of brick, concrete, and plaster, single-room dorms (one for girls and one for boys on separate sections of the campus), livestock, and an inadequate administrative building. The campus is in need of a new girls' dormitory and a new administrative complex that better serves the needs of the students and staff, and that better addresses the climate, the program, and the future growth of education in Nigeria.
