Under the "three-year Action Plan for the Protection of Beijing Central Axis Application", carrying out the special task of "comprehensive environmental renovation of the area adjacent to the Bell and Drum Tower", with the historical and cultural blocks overlooking from the Bell and Drum Tower as the governance object. Through a series of works such as the fifth facade rectification, improvement of public space quality in lanes, and restoration construction of courtyards, improve the overlooking landscape of the Bell and Drum Tower, form a good foil for the Bell and Drum Tower, and enhance the corridor landscape southward along the Central Axis, drive the governance of historical and cultural blocks from streets to courtyards, and realize organic renewal and community revitalization.
Taking the fifth facade rectification as the starting point, the block governance tasks are coordinated and implemented. Taking the requirements of world heritage protection to improve the work standards, taking the fifth facade rectification as the starting point, coordinating the block renewal, cultural weaving, people's livelihood improvement, community building and other tasks, after the 2008 facade rectification and the recent old city relocation, the "first courtyard renewal" work of Shichahai Street was carried out. Renting out and weaving space utilization, industry and people's livelihood. In combination with the block protection and renewal objectives, taking "the place of coexistence of industry and residence in the distant sound of Zhonggu Lou, and the new and old blending area in the city and rural nostalgia" as the positioning, the first batch of rented houses are restored, and functions such as resident life improvement, public service supplement, small and micro industry introduction, and long-term rental apartments are introduced.
