Created as a commissioned full-home remodel for a residence along Coral Gables’ Old Cutler Road corridor, this project was developed for clients who travels extensively and wants their home to feel calm, restorative, and deeply connected to its lush tropical setting.
A continuous open-slat wood ceiling will become the defining design element throughout the residence, bringing warmth, rhythm, and visual continuity to the principal living spaces. The detail will be carried out appropriately from room to room to create a cohesive atmosphere and a quiet sense of retreat.
The kitchen is designed as both the center of everyday life and a sophisticated setting for entertaining. Generous work surfaces, extensive storage, and a wall-to-wall wine cellar to support private tastings for an executive sommelier while maintaining a refined residential character.
The primary suite is conceived as a complete private retreat, with a morning lounge overlooking the pool terrace and cabana, an organically detailed bathroom framed by views of a roof garden, and a custom dressing room with glass-front cabinetry, integrated LED lighting, and a central island for accessories and personal storage.
Throughout the home, natural materials, layered lighting, custom millwork, and a strong connection to the landscape create a contemporary tropical residence that feels composed, personal, and quietly luxurious. The project images represent a fully resolved residential design developed through the planning stage.
