Background
This project delivered a sophisticated workplace designed to foster a calm, focused working environment through considered material depth and tonal restraint. As a premium commercial interior within an asset owned by commercial property developers Vicland, the brief was to elevate the tenancy into a refined setting that supports concentrated work, private meetings and client interaction, while maintaining a timeless sense of quality and design integrity.
Working closely with our interior design partner, Made For, we translated a bespoke design language into a highly resolved built outcome. The concept centred on warmth and spatial clarity, using a rich palette of natural materials to create an environment that feels both welcoming and trustworthy. From the outset, we were mindful of Vicland’s long-term asset strategy, ensuring the fitout enhanced the immediate tenant experience, strengthened the building’s future value and reinforced our longstanding relationship with Vicland.
Solution
The space is composed as a series of interconnected zones, defined by subtle shifts in materiality and carefully curated furniture selections rather than hard divisions. Soft seating areas are positioned along full-height glazing, where curved upholstered lounges, sheer drapery and low-profile tables create relaxed settings enriched by filtered natural light and expansive city outlooks. These areas provide comfort and privacy while maintaining visual openness across the floorplate.
Work and meeting zones are anchored by bespoke timber joinery and furniture in a natural material palette, with open shelving introducing a residential sensibility that softens the workplace and connects informal touchdown areas with more formal work settings. More focused meeting spaces, including the boardroom, are defined by darker, more atmospheric tones, timber-lined walls, upholstered seating and controlled lighting, creating a professional and composed environment. Feature elements such as stone plinths, bespoke tables and refined metal detailing introduce moments of contrast and material precision, reinforcing a consistent level of craftsmanship throughout.
The project also required close coordination with the base build works, with our team managing interfaces across multiple trades and construction stages. Through careful planning and sequencing, the fitout was delivered ahead of the base build program, providing certainty around timelines and enabling the project to progress efficiently. This proactive and collaborative delivery approach ensured the design intent was realised without compromise, while maintaining momentum and quality throughout the build.
