Honoring the immigrant stories that shaped Argentina and the transatlantic journey, the architectural design amplifies the client's vision through a carefully choreographed spatial narrative. Florería Atlántico first presents itself as a charming flower shop and natural wine boutique. Hidden behind an antique refrigerator door, guests transition from the lively storefront to a concealed, narrative-rich bar below. Next door, the layered storytelling continues with Brasero Atlántico, a warm and refined dining room centered around open-fire cooking inspired by Argentina's countryside. Located within a landmark former firehouse dating back to 1844, the project required sensitive adaptation of a complex, multi-level structure to bring both iconic Argentinian concepts to life while meeting stringent historic preservation requirements. The result is a world-class dual-concept destination that celebrates cultural heritage while delivering a memorable, contemporary culinary experience. The project received approval from the Old Georgetown Board and Historic Preservation Office.
