MANO is a Paris-based architecture practice, registered with the Ordre des architectes d'Ile-de-France and founded in 2014. We design housing, public buildings and transformations of existing structures, with timber as our material of choice: frame, roof structure and facade, in new build as well as in rooftop extensions. Our Wood-Concrete House in Aubervilliers, completed in 2024, was published by ArchDaily, e-architect and IDEAT. What sets our practice apart is method: we design with inhabitants and users, not only for them. It comes out of a doctoral thesis defended in 2024 on user participation in social housing refurbishment. We work either as full architectural services, from concept to site supervision, or as design-build contractor, with a single contract covering design and construction, price and schedule fixed before work starts.
