Facing the surf spot of La Torche, on the Atlantic tip of Brittany, this house is designed for a family of surfers. A sheltered patio at its heart keeps the wind out while the main rooms turn towards the ocean. The gabled silhouette picks up the local longhouse tradition, reinterpreted in timber with a fully glazed gable towards the waves. Boards, wetsuits and sandy feet have their own entrance through a drying room. Concept study.
