Located on the 25th floor of a premium residential complex in New Tashkent, Uzbekistan, this 700 m² residential club redefines shared amenities as a destination rather than a transitional space. The project combines hospitality, art, and cultural references to create an environment that encourages social interaction while reflecting the identity of its location.
The design concept draws inspiration from the traditions of Central Asia, reinterpreting regional symbolism through a contemporary architectural language. Materials, lighting, and custom-designed art installations establish a spatial narrative that connects local craftsmanship with modern residential living.
The floor is organized as a sequence of interconnected spaces, including lounge areas, meeting rooms, and bar zones. Rather than separating functions, the layout encourages fluid movement between them, allowing residents to experience the club as a continuous environment that adapts to different scenarios throughout the day.
At the heart of the project is the reception hall, conceived as the primary architectural and visual focus. A monumental dome defines the space, its exterior decorated with artwork inspired by traditional Uzbek ornamentation and the forms of desert landscapes. Inside, custom-milled detailing continues the same visual language, creating an immersive architectural element.
Beneath the dome, a sculptural installation inspired by the form of a weeping willow rises from a reflective pool. In Eastern philosophy, the willow symbolizes resilience, harmony, and wisdom, while bronze heron sculptures integrated into the water reference longevity and prosperity. Together, these elements transform the entrance into a contemplative space where architecture, art, and symbolism converge.
Natural light plays a significant role throughout the interior. A generous double-height volume surrounded by panoramic glazing fills the club with daylight, while carefully integrated lighting systems transform the atmosphere after sunset. Bronze surfaces, textured materials, and reflective finishes respond to changing light conditions, creating subtle variations in tone and depth over the course of the day.
The lounge spaces are arranged to accommodate a variety of social settings, from informal gatherings to private meetings. Furniture compositions define intimate zones without interrupting the openness of the floor plan, while suspended lighting installations reinforce the spatial hierarchy and contribute to the overall atmosphere.
Positioned at the intersection of the main circulation routes, the central bar functions as both a social hub and an architectural anchor. Its sculptural composition combines natural stone, textured surfaces, and integrated lighting, reinforcing the project's emphasis on material richness and craftsmanship.
Throughout the project, custom-designed artworks and decorative elements become integral architectural components rather than independent objects. More than ten site-specific installations reinterpret regional symbols, creating a contemporary cultural identity for the shared spaces of the residential complex.
The interior demonstrates how residential amenities can extend beyond functional requirements to become meaningful communal environments. By combining contemporary spatial planning with local cultural references, the project establishes a distinctive architectural identity that enhances the everyday experience of residents while contributing to the evolving character of New Tashkent.
