The clients of this project are a married couple leading an active business lifestyle and spending a significant amount of time traveling internationally. For them, it was essential to create a home in Kazakhstan that would serve as a place of restoration and privacy, while still allowing them to host guests at a high level.
From the very beginning, the team at Studia 54 ® was tasked with creating a timeless interior, with an emphasis on understated luxury, tactile material quality, and visual clarity. The space is built on strict geometry and symmetry, which create a sense of stability and cohesion. At the same time, the interior does not feel cold thanks to a complex palette of warm tones and a deep exploration of textures.
Within the scope of the project, the Studia 54 ® team successfully implemented all objectives. Every decision was adapted to the clients’ lifestyle, resulting in an interior that is not only aesthetically cohesive but also comfortable in everyday use.
Materials and Atmosphere
The interior of the private Aurevia residence in Kazakhstan, with a total area of 500 m², is inspired by the Latin words aurum and via — “gold” and “path” — as a metaphor for a refined and valuable space. The project is based on precise work with proportions, symmetry, and materials, where a sense of order becomes the foundation of perception. All decisions follow a unified logic, forming a cohesive and composed image of the home.
Key requirements included visual order, a neutral and calm color palette, the exclusive use of premium natural materials, and well-thought-out functionality of each space. Special emphasis was placed on creating a sense of comfort without excessive decoration.
Natural materials are used throughout the project, shaping a rich and layered perception of space. Veneer, solid wood, stone, leather, suede, and velvet create a tactile environment.
Special attention was given to durability and practicality. All materials were selected for high wear resistance and ease of maintenance, which is particularly important for a residence of this scale.
Lighting is designed as a multi-layered system that allows the perception of the interior to change depending on the time of day and scenario. Light highlights geometry, reveals textures, and creates the desired atmosphere.
