The recently renovated Souen restaurant on West 13th Street is a landmark, having been in its current location for over 28 years. The design sought to complement Souen's elegant Japanese cuisine with a rustic palette of materials comprised of walnut, blackened steel, and brushed stone tops. The introduction of the brown rice sushi bar will mark a departure and first for Owner Masaaki Yamaguchi, and has been excellently received to date.
