Installed in the heart of London on a property belonging to the British Crown, Milos—an iconic restaurant in Montréal—has adapted its concept, which combines fresh fish counters and an open kitchen, to a building with significant constraints due to very strict heritage regulations.
A new mezzanine, designed as a suspended structure within a double‑height space, reveals the intention to promote a distinct aesthetic in an environment that unfolds over three levels and covers more than 750 m².
To move away from picturesque stereotypes, the contemporary aesthetic of the project metaphorically evokes the beauty and brightness of Greece. In keeping with the Milos gastronomic concept, the goal above all is to highlight the strength of the content by emphasizing the greatest possible simplicity.
