The Dotacional Centre for the Barrio del Lasso is located at the head of the ravine bordered by the Avenida de Amurga, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The plot of land on which it is located forms a circular cap on the ground plan, the straight side of which faces east, towards the public open space, looking towards the sea. Access to the plot is from the north, adjacent to the planned parking area.
The public facilities centre is positioned on the eastern boundary, perpendicular to the northern wall, between the views of the sea and the interior garden. It thus builds a kind of retaining wall, reminiscent of the walls built in ravines to prevent erosion. The proposed building is developed on two levels: the ground floor open to the east; and the upper floor with the entrance next to the access to the plot. This layout allows optimal routes between the exterior and interior, giving maximum flexibility to the use of the space. The building rests only on the first section of the northern boundary, allowing the retaining wall of the avenue to be seen.
