PSA Law Offices underwent a challenging task of creating a spatial identity exclusive to the law firm. The goal was to develop a new image for a new space for a brand/entity with almost 20 years of activity, extremely reputable, with a stable and recognized identity.
Analyzed the characteristics associated with the PSA brand and assessed how they could be translated into the architectural context of this space, which was intended to be the new public face of this law firm, the concept was determined. It was sought to develop an architectural language that gave primacy to elegance and comfort, to a certain refinement and sophistication associated with the practice of law, a language that was modern but at the same time timeless.
To achieve it materials were explored in such a way that, when combined, they could translate these qualities/feelings, such as wood, stone, glass, and fabric, combined in a color palette that sought the elegance of gray, the modernity of black, the timelessness of natural stone and the comfort of wood.
The internal layout was structured according to the preliminary program defined. In terms of functional organization, a clear distinction was created between the reception area and the professional service spaces - be they offices or meeting rooms. The reception area stands out with its own volumetry, distinct from the other spaces, whose ceiling height gives it a nobility that characterizes and hierarchizes the communicating spaces. In the reception area, the main feature is the service desk, which is a piece of pure white marble geometry that contrasts poetically with the black color of the wood that characterizes the wall cladding.
For the offices and meeting rooms partitions, a solution was developed that allows visual amplitude for those who use and visit the office, without jeopardizing the necessary privacy, essential in professional relationships of this nature. Thus, the proposal takes advantage of the combination of opaque walls that are dematerialized into glass partitions with a minimalist profile, also resorting to the use of curtains to provide total privacy when required.
On the left-hand side, in relation to the reception, there are two meeting rooms with different capacities and a small waiting area that serves as an antechamber between these two rooms. In this small area, it was introduced a second prominent element – a green wall - which balances the context of these surrounding spaces with serenity and joyfulness. On the right-hand side of the reception area are the service offices, the archive room, the access to the toilet and the upper floor, where PSA's BackOffice is located.
The proposed solution for rejuvenating the PSA brand image is structured around its unique characteristics, evident in the materiality and spatial design. The intervention not only enhances the aesthetics but also provides clear user appropriation with well-defined moments and volumetric hierarchies. The result is a space that exudes a strong and distinct identity, offering an elegant and comfortable experience that is both contemporary and timeless.
