We are designing a modern, special-category medical facility on the grounds of Klaipėda University Hospital (39 Liepojos St.).
The building’s interior design solutions were developed by Jon Huddy, one of the world’s most renowned emergency department architects from the U.S., who has designed as many as 366 emergency departments across different continents during his career.
All solutions — from building logistics to patient flow — will be based on functional logic that ensures safety, speed, and efficiency for every patient.
The planned three-story building will feature a clear functional structure — it will house an emergency department, an operating suite, and intensive care units. This modern infrastructure will ensure top-tier medical services throughout the region.
Key parameters of the planned building:
total area – 8,758.88 sq. m
height – approximately 14.29 m
volume – over 34,000 cu. m
energy efficiency class – A++
The project is being developed on a site of more than 14 hectares, with a strong focus on environmental quality – a significant portion of the site is allocated to green spaces, and the building itself is integrated into the existing hospital infrastructure.
Efficiency will also be ensured by advanced solutions — underground connecting tunnels, modern engineering systems, and operating rooms that meet the highest medical standards are being designed.
