The Physical Therapy & Physician Assistant (PT/PA) Suite fitout transforms the basement of the Health Sciences Innovation Building. The new suite offers spaces for the evolving pedagogies of physical therapy and physician assistant programs and cutting-edge laboratory and learning spaces. Drawing inspiration from human anatomy and the landscape of Tucson, the design creates a destination and an identity through a shared visual language that anchors staff and students alike and accommodates cohorts of varying sizes in both shared and dedicated spaces. In addition, the suite was designed to connect people to place and bring warmth, movement and a sense of the outdoors into the basement spaces. The fitout and the entire Health Sciences Innovation Building serve as a community asset, an opportunity to engage, educate and evolve as part of the larger Arizona community.
